Kids ages 7-11 are invited to participate in a Drama Workshop, 6-8 pm, Monday through Friday, Aug 20-24, 2012, at Trinity Covenant Church, 343 E Cedar St., Livingston, just off Northfield Rd and down the hill from St. Barnabas Medical Center. The emphasis will be on personal growth and discovery as the participants engage in a variety of drama activities including acting, improvisation, creative dramatics, and mask- and puppet-making. Enrollment is $15 (siblings may enroll for $10); only 20 places exist.
During the last 20 minutes of the Friday session, families and caregivers are invited to a "sharing," a recap of the week's activities.
Ilene Carter, the workshop leader, is a lifelong educator with an MA in Educational Theatre from New York University. her background includes over 20 years of working with children and teens on the stage. She will be assisted by Trinity's Director of Ministry to Children and Families Anne Weinberg, and many volunteers.
