On Monday, January 9, at 7:30 pm, the Livingston Camera Club will hold its fourth competition at the Senior/Community Center at 204 Hillside Avenue. Enter on the left side of the building, lower level.
This is an open competition, meaning that the subject matter is not restricted to a theme. Since the members' interests are so diverse, open competitions give the viewers inspiration for trying new approaches to their own photography. As of this year, the competition will encompass the three classes of photographers: Salon Class, Class A and Class B. If you are interested in meeting people to share in your love of photography, the Livingston Camera Club just might be the place for you to come. Guests are always welcomed at any meeting of the Livingston Camera Club. Learn more about the club at its website, www.livingstoncameraclub.org.
The judge for this competition is Phil Echo, who is a most accomplished photographer. He has won numerous awards with PSA (Photographic Society of America) at the national and international level as well as with the NJFCC (New Jersey Federation of Camera Clubs). He specializes in bird photography but also has interest in taking photographs of nature, wildlife, scenes and action. He lectures and presents programs as well as leads tours to South Texas ranches for bird photography.
