US Congressman Rodney Freylinghuysen (R-NJ) will be the Guest Speaker at the regular meeting of the Livingston Old Guard on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 10:30 AM following the LOG's regular meeting.
Freylinghuysen is serving his 9th term in Congress and has recently had his district redrawn to include all of Livingston. He has been in Congress since 1995 and his talk will deliver a Washington Update highlighting what Congress is currently working on, followed by a Q&A session. Freylinghuysen serves on the House Appropriations Committee, which oversees the federal budget, and is a senior member of the Defense and the Homeland Security Subcommittees. He is a veteran who served in Vietnam and is a member of both the American Legion and the VFW.
