“Mitzvah Morning” at Temple B'nai Abraham
On Sunday, March 4, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, join the members of the Temple B’nai Abraham (TBA) congregational family as they participate in its Annual “Mitzvah Morning,” sponsored by the temple’s Membership Committee, with Social Action Committee, Sisterhood, Men’s Club, Prime Time, PTA & Parents’ Council. It will be an exciting morning of volunteering to assemble baby kits, breakfast bags and toiletry kits for clients of Bridges Outreach, Inc in Summit, New Jersey and The Apostles’ House of Newark. Bridges’ outreach includes over 1,500 kind and caring volunteers delivering over 100,000 bagged brown lunches, 40,000 breakfast bags, literally tons of clothing and toiletries and other necessities each year. The Apostles' House is a multipurpose social service agency that provides comprehensive services in a caring environment. They currently operate 98 programs including a Food Pantry, Shelter, Transitional Housing, Family Preservation, and Multigenerational (seniors and pregnant teens).
Please consider donating one of each item listed to complete a toiletry kit. Each kit will contain - travel size only soap - deodorant - lotion shampoo - conditioner shaving cream – toothpaste toothbrushes - lip balm. Donation boxes are in the temple lobby. Please bring all items by February 17. If you can’t get to the store, please consider a monetary donation, any amount is helpful.
