Newark Academy will host the event in the Rose Auditorium on Tuesday, October 23 from 7:30 to 9:00pm. The event is free and open to the public.
Dr. Thompson is a New York Times bestselling author, clinical psychologist and school consultant. He has appeared on The Today Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show, ABC’s 20/20, 60 Minutes, The Early Show and Good Morning America. Dr. Thompson also wrote, narrated and hosted the PBS documentary "Raising Cain: Exploring the Inner Life of America’s Boys" a companion to his bestselling book by the same name.
This event is part of the lecture series hosted by Common Ground II, a collaborative effort of the parents associations of nine New Jersey independent schools. Each year, Common Ground sponsors a free lecture series featuring distinguished speakers addressing topics related to child development, parenting and education.
