Strip House Celebrates National Prime Rib Day

Standing prime rib roast is a decadent, cherished dish - a special-occasion meal saved for family gatherings and holidays.  Cooked in the standing position before its dramatic carving, dripping with flavorful jus, the prime rib has long been a legend.  Celebrated on April 27 -- which is known as National Prime Rib Day -- at Strip House, the chef will be preparing one-night-only Prime Ribs with its classical fixings.

Strip House Executive Chef John Schenk slowly roasts the Prime Rib over dry heat for hours until tender, crusted with mustard and rosemary, then carves the bone-on portions and finishes to order.  A family tradition from his childhood, it was made on Sunday and then served for the entire clan to share.  Yorkshire pudding, baked using the hot drippings, is the perfect accompaniment, used for dousing in the rich gravy.

The prime rib supper will be available on April 27 at Strip House priced at $44 per person.  The restaurant will make just a few roasts, served with Yorkshire Pudding, with limited portions available for one night only.
