The Library will host a free screening of Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close (2011) 130 minutes, rated PG-13, as part of the 2012 Summer Film Series.
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close touches the viewer to the very core. Oskar is convinced that his father (Tom Hanks), who died at the World Trade Center on 9/11, has left a final message for him hidden somewhere in the city. Oskar’s journey through the five boroughs of New York takes him beyond his own loss to a greater understanding of the world around him. Sandra Bullock and Max von Sydow co-star.
