Uterine Fibroids: Treatment Options and Updates

Though uterine fibroids affect more than 30 percent of women ages 30-45, many are often unaware of the highly effective treatment options available. To help, Saint Barnabas Medical Center recently opened a multidisciplinary Fibroid Center to provide women with a team approach to diagnosing this common gynecologic condition. The Fibroid Center offers women across New Jersey a wide array of individualized treatment options, including alternatives to hysterectomy. Each patient receives a comprehensive consultation with a gynecologist and interventional radiologist at the same time.

Those who would like to learn more are invited to attend a free seminar, “Uterine Fibroids: Treatment Options and Updates,” on September 20, 2011, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Leon & Toby Cooperman JCC Metrowest, 760 Northfield Avenue, West Orange, NJ. Presenters include: Alan Garten, MD, interventional radiologist; John Kindzierski, MD, obstetrician/gynecologist; and Daniel Sansobrino, MD, obstetrician/ gynecologist specializing in robotic surgery. While the program is free and open to the public, advanced registration is appreciated.  Please call 973-322-5620 or visit www.barnabashealthcalendar.org/sbmc.
