Youth Appreciation Week: Intergenerational Event & Family Softball Game/BBQ

The LYCS and YMCA will be hosting an Intergenerational Event at Inglemoor Nursing Home titled “Adopt a Grandparent” to encourage various generations interacting.  Card playing, reading and the establishment of pen pals is encouraged.  It will be held from 3 to 6 p.m.

A Family Softball Game & Barbeque will be held at the Oval at 6:30 p.m.  The Livingston Senior Youth invites kids ages 6 and up and their parents to compete in a friendly game between neighbors. Families will take the field together (one parent and one child per position) to play a five-inning game against other families in town.  We’ll have modified rules to make this game more enjoyable for all ages!  Please bring your gloves!  Staff from SYLS will coordinate and umpire the game.  Afterwards, stay since we’ll be grilling hamburgers and hot dogs for all in attendance.

There is no fee to attend, however, please pre-register so we may estimate how many we feed!  You can pre-register online at http://livingstonsyls.org.  Click on Community Pass online registration, then Youth Appreciation Week.   For more information, please call the Senior, Youth & Leisure Services Department at 973-535-7925.
