First Day Of Fall In Livingston: Rain And Cloudy Skies Expected This Week

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A mix of rain and cloudy skies is expected this week in Livingston as the first day of fall arrives.

The summer will officially bid Livingston adieu when the first day of astronomical fall begins on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The equinox will happen at 8:05 p.m.

The Old Farmer's Almanac Fall Forecast is predicting cooler and wetter conditions than usual in the Northeast parts of the U.S. this year.

Here’s what is in store for Livingston this week, according to the National Weather Service:

Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 71. Northeast wind 9 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 22 mph.

Monday Night: A 40 percent chance of rain, mainly after 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. Northeast wind around 7 mph.

Tuesday: A 40 percent chance of rain, mainly before 11am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. East wind 9 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Tuesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 50. Northeast wind 9 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64. Northeast wind 13 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Wednesday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49.

Thursday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 64.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 49.

Friday: A 40 percent chance of showers after 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63.

Friday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 51.

Saturday: A 40 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 65.

Saturday Night: A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 53.

Sunday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 67.
