Free Food, Rides, Public Safety Demonstrations To Return For Livingston National Night Out
The annual night of free food and fun for the community will return to Livingston this summer, a way to raise awareness of public safety.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — As with communities across the country, Livingston will celebrate National Night Out again this year, offering free food, carnival games, and law enforcement demonstrations. It's a way to raise awareness about safety and connect people with law enforcement.
The 14th Livingston National Night Out will be held at the Oval on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
The event begins at 5:30 p.m., and will offer the following: food and soft drinks, rides, carnival games for children, giveaways, balloon twisting, face painting, music, law enforcement displays, safety/security demonstrations and anti-drug activities.

National Night Out festivities are held nationwide and are meant to increase awareness about police anti-crime programs that are taking place in communities. Last year, over 37 million people in all 50 states, as well as U.S. territories, Canada and military bases worldwide participated in the yearly event.

There will be displays from various local organizations and businesses.
