Commemorations of LGBT identity take place in June, the anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising. This pivotal 1969 event contributed to the repeal of laws criminalizing same-sex love. Today, Pride is both a gathering of celebration and reflection on what more can be done to support LGBT rights around the world.
