Free Skin Cancer Screening In Livingston

The Livingston Health Department is teaming up with St. Barnabas Medical Center to host a free skin cancer screening on Tuesday, June 26.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston Health Department is teaming up with St. Barnabas Medical Center to host a free skin cancer screening on Tuesday, June 26 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

According to the Livingston Health Department, the screening will take place at the Livingston/Senior Community Center, 204 Hillside Ave in Craft Rooms 1 and 2.

“Skin cancer is one of the most common forms of cancer and one out of five Americans will develop some form of skin cancer before the age of 70,” the health department stated in a news release. “Anyone can get skin cancer although there are factors that can increase the risk of skin cancer in some people such as a history of indoor tanning or multiple sunburns, a family history of skin cancer, and spending a lot of time outdoors for work or play. If you have any concerns about spots on your skin that are changing in shape, size, or color or seem irregular be sure to have them checked.”

The skin cancer screening is free but appointments are required. To make an appointment for the screening call 973-535-7961, ext. 227 or 228.
