In the second half, Bloomfield caught Livingston off-guard as they scored on a 35-yard touchdown pass and converted on the extra point to increase their lead 19-7. The Lancers cut its deficit to 19-14 when Wolkstein ran the ball in on a 4 yard touchdown. With little time left in the game, the defense forced the Bengals in a tough position on 4th down and 25 yards to go. The defense struggled to defend the pass and the Bengals converted on its 4th down and scored on a 45-yard touchdown pass. The Lancers blocked the extra point but were still down by two with a 25-14 Bloomfield lead. With less than a minute left to go, the game came to an end.
The freshmen will play their final game against neighboring town West Orange away at West Orange High School on Saturday, November 7.
