Get A Free Blood Pressure Screening In Livingston: Health And Wellness Event

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston Health Department will hold a free blood pressure screening for local residents on Wednesday, July 29 from 10 a.m. to noon.

The screening will be held at the Livingston Senior/Community Center, 204 Hillside Avenue (first floor). The service is free of charge to Livingston residents. Appointments and walk-ins are welcome. According to a news release from the township, high blood pressure is known as “the silent killer” because it has no symptoms of its own, but it can dramatically increase one’s risk of developing heart disease or stroke.

Many people with high blood pressure don’t even know they have it; the signs and symptoms are often misunderstood. High blood pressure can be managed effectively though lifestyle changes and, when necessary, medication.
