Girls Volleyball Finishes Regular Season

Now the team moves on to the State Tournament.

The Girl's Varsity Volleyball Team finished their regular season with a 2-1 win over Mendham on October 30. 

The Lancers defeated Mendham with a match score of 2-1, bringing their record to 16-6 and ranking them #20 in the Sate.  Outside hitter Casey Tepper, had 2 aces, 19 kills and 17 digs while outside hitter Nancy Yang had 1 ace 21 kills, 3 digs and 1 block.  Opposite Morgan Pfister had 1 ace, 2 kills, 2 assists and 2 digs.  Defensive specialist Amy Friedman had 5 digs.  Setter Michelle Lee, had 4 aces, 43 assists, 6 digs and 2 blocks.  Middle blocker Esther Lin had 1 block and 1 kill.  Middle Natalie Marek had 3 kills, 4 digs and 2 blocks.  Libero Connie Cheng had 16 digs and 3 aces.

Prior to the start of the game, the six seniors who will be finishing their career at LHS - Casey Tepper, Angie Gokhman, Natalie Marek, Esther Lin, Morgan Pfister and Amy Friedman – were recognized for their contributions.

The Lancers are seeded #4 in Group 4 in the State Tournament.  The State finals will be held Saturday, November 14.  The Lancers must continue to win in order to advance to each round.
