Gobble, Gobble, Giveaway In Livingston: You Can Donate A Turkey In Town This Weekend

Livingston Neighbors Helping Neighbors is holding a drive for fresh or frozen turkeys this weekend. Find out what else they're doing.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Got a turkey you don't need, or want to give one away?

If you've got a fresh or frozen turkey (kept at the appropriate, safe temperature, of course), you can donate it this weekend.

On Saturday, Nov. 18, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., residents can drop off fresh or frozen turkeys for donation near the back entrance to Town Hall at 357 S. Livingston Ave. in Livingston.

Volunteers from Livingston Neighbors Helping Neighbors will be on site to collect the turkeys, which will be provided to families in need.

Neighbors Helping Neighbors lists its mission on its page: "There is need in every community. Often due to job loss, illness or a significant change in the family status, people can and do fall on hard times. No community is immune. For anyone who finds themselves struggling in our community, we want them to know that their neighbors care."
