Got GERD? Livingston Workshop Will Offer Free Info For Residents
Livingston Township: About 15% to 30% of the U.S. population suffers from gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD).
LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston Health Department, in conjunction with Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, will offer a free presentation on gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) on Thursday, July 11 from 7 to 8 p.m. The program will be held at the Livingston Senior/Community Center, 204 Hillside Avenue in Livingston, in Tahaney Room 1 on the first floor.
According to a municipal advisory:
“About 15% to 30% of the U.S. population suffers from GERD, according to the National Institutes of Health. Join Dr. David Pineles, Gastroenterologist from Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, as he discusses GERD, its symptoms, and how to make lifestyle adjustments to reduce the condition. Dr. Pineles received his medical degree from the New York University Grossman School of Medicine and has expertise in treating chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBS), among other conditions, and performing colonoscopies and upper GI endoscopies.”
