Guidelines for Curbside Garbage Collection

Curbside collection starts next week.

Curbside garbage collection will begin on Thursday, July 1.

Residents should continue to follow the present Township of Livingston requirements for the handling of solid waste or garbage.  Household garbage should be placed in suitable receptacles or containers made of rigid material, watertight and with tight-fitting covers. Containers or receptacles shall not be placed for collection along the curb of any street earlier than 12:00 noon on the day immediately before their regularly scheduled pick-up or collection.

Beginning July 1, township residents will place their solid waste containers at curbside for pick-up on their regularly scheduled collection day.  The frequency of collection, types of materials collected, the limit of (3) 30-gallon containers per collection day will continue to be the same. Full garbage containers can not weigh more than 50 pounds each.
