Gun Violence Prevention Expert Speaks In Livingston
The Livingston event took place as gun laws come under renewed scrutiny in the wake of the tragic school shooting in Parkland, Florida.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Cori Menkin, an expert on gun violence prevention and firearm laws, recently addressed an audience in Livingston about “legislative approaches to gun safety and what voters can do to make their voices heard.”
Menkin came to speak at 316 Eisenhower Parkway on Feb. 24 at the request of the Livingston Town Team of NJ 11th for Change, a grassroots political advocacy group in the district. The event took place as gun laws come under renewed scrutiny in the wake of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida.

Menkin, a member of the group, also discussed U.S. Rep. Rodney Frelinghuysen’s “yea” vote in Congress to approve “concealed carry reciprocity,” and what the real-life implications would be should such a policy become law.
