Have ‘Coffee With A Cop’ In Livingston

The initiative is an "informal way for people to meet with police officers to discuss community issues and build relationships."

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston Police Department is inviting community members to join their local officers for a “free cup of coffee and some conversation.”

On Thursday, Sept. 29, the department will host a “Coffee with a Cop” event at Dunkin’ Donuts, 464 W. Mt. Pleasant Avenue, from 10 a.m. to noon.

A LPD news release said that the national initiative is an “informal way for people to meet with police officers to discuss community issues, build relationships and drink coffee. There will be no agenda or speeches, just a chance to ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the officers that patrol your neighborhood. The motto of the program is ‘Building relationships one cup at a time.’”
