Public Works Department employees will remove and recycle the trees. Once collected, the trees are put through a chipper. The resulting untreated wood chips can then be made available to residents for pickup at no cost. The untreated wood chips created from the trees can be used in
flower beds and garden borders.

The Christmas tree collection program saves the cost of garbage disposal, since the Township is charged by weight to remove bulk items.
