Holy Week and Easter Services at Grace Lutheran Church

Grace Lutheran Church will have worship services on both Holy Thursday and Good Friday at 7:30 in preparation for Easter. These services, as well as the Easter service, continue our Lenten theme from 1 Peter of living here in the present as we prepare for our eternal home in heaven. The Holy Thursday service will emphasize how Jesus showed his love to his disciples and to us, and how we also show our love to those around us. The Good Friday service will be a service of lights (Tenebrae) where we will remember the forgiveness Jesus gives us and thus the forgiveness we can give to one another.

The Easter celebration service will emphasize how, even in the midst of suffering, Jesus’ rising from the dead gives us his love and the courage and hope to face our troubles with God’s peace. Before the service, at 9:00, we wil have our family education hour with special activities for children and adults. Following the service we will have an Easter Brunch and Easter Egg hunt for children.
