Home Burglary Attempt In Livingston May Have Targeted Car Keys: Police
Several would-be burglars tried to force their way into a Livingston home through a window, authorities said.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — Several would-be burglars tried to force their way into a Livingston home through a window earlier this week, authorities announced Tuesday.
According to the Livingston Police Department, officers responded to a home on Coddington Terrace at 6:41 a.m. on Sunday after getting a report about an attempted burglary.
The homeowners told officers they saw multiple people trying to gain entry to the residence through a rear window with a crowbar. They fled the scene when they spotted one of the residents, police said.

Authorities said they believe the suspects were trying to steal keys for the vehicles that were parked in the home’s driveway.
The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating the burglary attempt, authorities said.
