Home Burglary, Attempted Burglary In Livingston On Same Day: Police

LPD: Four suspects tried to enter a home through a window. Two people entered another home and stole a vehicle – on the same day.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A home burglary and an attempted burglary took place on the same day in Livingston last week, authorities announced Tuesday.

The Livingston Police Department released the following details about the incidents, which took place on Friday:

STONEWALL DRIVE – “On Sept. 6 at 1:41 a.m., Livingston officers responded to a Stonewall Drive residence on a report of an attempted burglary to the residence. Upon the officers’ arrival, they met with the homeowners, who advised that four suspects were seen on video surveillance entering their property and attempting to gain access to the residence through a kitchen window. When the suspects opened the window, an audible alarm sounded and the suspects fled the scene. The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating.”

BENNINGTON ROAD – “On Sept. 6 at 2:26 a.m., Livingston officers responded to a Bennington Road residence on a report of a stolen motor vehicle. Upon the officers’ arrival, they met with the homeowners, who advised that two suspects who were seen on video surveillance entered the residence through the front door and took both sets of keys to their 2022 BMW X3 and fled with the vehicle. The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating.”
