Home In Livingston Ransacked While Owners Go Out To Dinner: Police

Homeowners in Livingston told police last week that their residence was ransacked during dinner.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Homeowners in Livingston got an unwelcome surprise when they came home from dinner on a Friday night, police said.

According to the Livingston police, last Friday evening, June 30, at 10:26 p.m., they responded to an Elmwood Drive residence on a report of a burglary.

The homeowners told police that they'd gone out for dinner. When they returned, they found that someone had gotten into their home through a window, and numerous rooms in the house were ransacked.

The homeowner is compiling a list of stolen items and the Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating, police said.
