Fire Department responds to call of fire on second floor of home.
A fire in a home on Passaic Avenue near the intersection with South Orange Avenue sounded the alarms for Livingston's Fire Department late Thursday afternoon.
At about 3:45 p.m., a call came in reporting a working fire on the second floor of a residence.
"The homeowner was on the first floor of the home, apparently unaware of the fire," said Fire Chief Christopher Mullin. "It was in the bathroom and bedroom on the second floor in the rear of the house."
