Irvington House Fire Claims Life; Identity of Victim Unknown
'Badly burned body' of adult discovered

A fatal house fire in Irvington claimed the life of an unknown adult early Tuesday morning.
The cause of the fire is still undetermined, stated a release.
Irvington Fire Department officials were dispatched to 21st Street at 3:37 a.m., where they discovered a three-story wood frame residential house in flames, according to a release.

During the operation, firefighters discovered the “badly burned body of an adult.” The person was pronounced dead at the scene by the Regional Medical Examiner.
The house was previously believed to be abandoned, stated the release.
