Junior Police Academy In Livingston: How To Sign Up

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The following news release comes courtesy of the Livingston Police Department. Learn more about posting announcements or events to your local Patch site.

The Livingston Police Department will be holding a Junior Police Academy for the first time this summer. The objective is a week of education and fun through a police academy format. The curriculum will include various presentations from guest law enforcement agencies, field trips, hands-on activities and physical training to give the recruits an idea of what is involved in becoming a Police Officer. All applicants must be Livingston residents who are entering sixth, seventh or eighth grade in the fall of 2020. There will be a fee of $75 per attendee.

The academy will be held from July 13 through July 17 from 7:45 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Applications will be accepted beginning March 23, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. with a deadline of April 17 at 3:00 p.m. The class will be limited to 50 students, so register early. Applications and information can be picked up at the Livingston Police Department or found online at livingstonnj.org/211/Forms.
