Lancers Eliminated From State Tournament
North Bergen's second quarter spurt spells doom for Livingston.

North Bergen proved to be to0 tall a task for the Livingston High School boys basketball team as they fell in the opening round of the NJSIAA North 1 Group IV Tournament 57-38 at North Bergen High School on Tuesday.
The Lancers (11-12) trailed just 10-6 after one quarter, but North Bergen (21-4) used an 18-9 second quarter to take a 28-15 lead into the locker room. They would never relinquish.
Noel Allen devastated Livingston as he drained 24 points, including eight from the free-throw line, and he was helped by two others in double figures: Danny Abrue (12 points) and Peter Ramanand (10 points).

The Lancers were paced by Matt Fung with 16 points, but no other Livingston player recorded double figures. Sam White and Alex Kalmus had seven and six points respectively.
North Bergen edged Livingston from beyond the arch (4-0) and at the free-throw line (13-9), and they Lancers were outscored in every quarter.
