Lancers Fall Just Short To MSD

Girls softball comes from behind, but loses in last inning.

The Lancers rallied in Friday's softball game against Mount St. Dominic, but fell short in the end, losing 5-4.

The Mount's Christina Giglio connected on her third hit of the game to drive in Cora Ianiro with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning of the Mount St. Dominic's victory over Livingston.

Emilyrose Havrilla added two hits and three RBIs, while Ianiro tripled and scored twice for the Lions (12-3).

Livingston (6-8), led by Jess Icolari and Reid Singer, who each drove in a run, rallied from a 4-0 deficit to tie the game with one run in the sixth and three in the top of the seventh off Mount pitcher Rebecca Gorney (11-2).
