Land Rover And Ford Explorer Stolen In Livingston, Then Recovered: Police
Livingston police released two reports from the past week, both of vehicle thefts.
LIVINGSTON, NJ — There were two thefts of vehicles in Livingston in the past five days, and both were later recovered, police said Tuesday.
The Reports:
On Thursday, June 9, at 6:36 a.m. Livingston police responded to East McClellan Avenue on a report of an SUV parked in the middle of the roadway. Police came upon Ford Explorer, unoccupied in the middle of the road.

Police determined that it had been stolen from a residence on that street overnight and then abandoned. It had been left unlocked with a key fob inside, police said.
Then, this past Sunday, police responded at 4:14 a.m. to an Elmwood Drive residence. The victim said he had noticed the lights of his Land Rover Evoque come on, and realized his vehicle was being stolen. It had been left unlocked with the key fob left inside.

The vehicle was recovered later the same day in Newark, police said. The Livingston Detective Bureau is investigating.
