Learn About Police Work Via Livingston 'Citizens Police Academy'
Livingston is taking applications from adults for their weekly 'Citizens Police Academy' class.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston Police Department will be holding their third Citizens Police Academy starting in fall. This is a no-cost 11-week program designed to give participants an understanding of the operation of the Livingston Police Department and what law enforcement entails.
The Police Department said, "The hope is that the instruction will strengthen police-community rapport through an educational process, increase understanding of police practices and procedures, and dispose of misconceptions. The police department, in turn, will become more aware of the concerns and questions of the community it serves."
Participants must be at least 21 years of age and either live or work in Livingston. Classes will be held every Thursday from Sept. 8 to Nov. 17 from 7-9 p.m.
