LHS Football season ends with playoff loss
Lancers fall 34-9 to West Orange in first round of the North 1, Group 4 state playoffs.
The Livingston High School football team saw its season come to an end today after falling to West Orange 34-9 in the first round of the North 1, Group 4 state playoffs.
Livingston (6-4) found itself in trouble right away as West Orange's Anfernee Larue took the game's opening kickoff 96 yards for a touchdown.
The fifth-seeded Lancers would bounce back on their first drive as senior quarterback Andrew Egner tied the game with a 24-yard touchdown pass to Chase Larangera.

Fourth-seeded West Orange (7-3) put the game away with with 21 unanswered points as Austin Vanderhoof connected with Greg Johnson on a 10-yard touchdown and star running back Lance Smith added touchdown runs of 1 and 3 yards. Vanderhoof and Johnson teamed up for another touchdown in the fourth quarter.
For the second-straight season, Livingston qualified for the state playoffs before falling in the first round. In 2008, the Lancers won the North 1, Group 4 championship.
