LHS Volleyball Falls Short of Title at Invitational

Livingston went 5-1 in the pool play and reached the semifinals of the playoffs, where it fell to Eastern, 25-15, at the 11th annual Livingston Tournament on Saturday in Livingston.

Eastern ended up succumbing to Old Bridge, 25-23, in the final. Old Bridge had gone undefeated in pool play to earn the top seed for the playoffs.

Livingston dropped its opening pool match to Teaneck, but then reeled off five victories, including one against Hunterdon Central in the quarterfinals. The victory reversed a 2-0 loss to the same school on April 21.

The 16-team field at the event included many 0f the top programs in the state.
