All proceeds will be donated to Shiv’s Third Eye in memory of Livingston resident Shiv Kulkarni, a rising freshman at the high school who passed away last year.
As all of the proceeds are being donated to charity, no refunds will be given if the balloon is cancelled due to weather or other circumstances.
Other Activities
Each year, National Night Out encourages residents to work with local law enforcement and be vigilant against crime. In many towns, police and other agencies set up tables with safety information, giveaways, and activities for kids.
At the Livingston event, any organization or local business that would like to have a free display table is asked to contact the Community Policing Unit. To donate, request a table or to learn more about Livingston’s upcoming National Night Out, contact the Community Policing Unit at (973) 992-3000 extension 3600 or email jklapal@livingstonnj.org.
There will be a free raffle which will allow participants to enter to win prizes donated by Karig’s Livingston Hardware, the West Essex Tribune, Love Letters, and others.
In case of rain, the event will be held at Livingston High School.
