Livingston 2019 Election Guide: Meet The Candidates

A town council seat and two board of education seats are up for grabs in Livingston. Here's what you need to know.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Livingston residents will cast votes for seats on the town council and the board of education in the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

LIVINGSTON POLLING PLACES, TIMES

Voters who need to find their local polling place can visit the New Jersey Division of Elections website. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Learn more about your rights as a voter in New Jersey. Complaints about election day conduct at your local polling place can be directed to the New Jersey Election Hotline at 1-877-658-6837.

TOWN COUNCIL

There is an unexpired town council seat up for grabs in Livingston.

A showdown is set between Democrat Michael Vieira, who captured 715 votes in the June primary election, and Republican Brandon Minde, who captured 275 votes.

BOARD OF EDUCATION

There are four candidates competing for two seats on the Livingston Board of Education in 2019. Terms last for three years.

The candidates include:

  • Alyse Berger Heilpern
  • Sasha Pailet Koff
  • Samantha Messer
