Livingston Adult School Begins Registration
Livingston's adult school begins its first evening classes.

You’re never too old to learn something new.
Beginning this year, Livingston’s Senior, Youth and Leisure Services has combined with the Board of Education to create the Livingston School of Continuing Education. The school, which is for residents over the age of 18, is meant to provide residents with continuing education and life enrichment courses.
Some of the subjects that will be offered in the school include computer technology, business and retirement planning. There will also be theater and language courses offered, as well as women's self defense.

“In response to residents needs, we will be expanding our successful senior and adult day programs to include evening classes in computer technology, social media, smart phones & tablets, languages, business, photography and arts & theater," said Jennifer Hessberger, Director of SYLS. "A small selection of classes will start this fall, which will be expanded on next year.”
A Vision 20/20 survey, conducted between October and December 2011, showed that residents between the age of 30 and 50 wanted to see the night school created.
