About Leslie:
“I have been a graphic designer, interior decorator, and passionate decoupage artist - driven to bringing beauty to surfaces of all kinds for as long as I can remember. Giving new life to old furniture ready for the trash or creating works of art out of simple forms like boxes, vases, and lamps using various decoupage methods was a challenge that offered great reward. It was also labor intensive and often physically strenuous. Major spinal reconstruction surgery for a degenerative condition failed, resulting in chronic pain and mobility limitations. Rather than give up I experimented with smaller surfaces, and eventually created my first decoupage pendant. A new and completely limitless artistic outlet opened up to me. I fell madly in love with jewelry design and never looked back. Jewelry, an intimate and personal art form expresses unlimited moods, styles and artistic preferences. It is extremely personal and revealing. The jewelry you choose to wear offers insight into who you are and how you wish to be perceived, and I just love sharing the experience. I consider each piece a small treasure to be enjoyed and admired. Each piece is a limited edition, I prefer to create new designs when I sit down to work, unless of course by customer request. I hope that wearing one of my pieces lifts your mood and makes you feel beautiful.”

Arts Unbound is dedicated to the artistic achievement of people living with disabilities and the continuing artistic enrichment of seniors. We provide visual arts education and professional development to help emerging artists compete on the retail market. By promoting the work of artists with disabilities and seniors, we center their art-making rather than any impairments and by doing so challenge the stigma associated with disability and aging.
