Livingston Asks For Feedback About ‘Civility’ In The Township
A little bit of civility can go a long way. A township survey wants to know: How can we create a more "harmonious" community?
LIVINGSTON, NJ — A little bit of “civility” can go a long way.
The Livingston Vision 20/20 Committee recently released the first in a series of community surveys, asking for local community members to give their feedback about “civility” in the township.
The goal? To gather input from residents about “how to foster a more respectful and harmonious community,” township officials say.

“Civility is a crucial component of community life,” said Alan Karpas, co-chair of the Vision 20/20 Committee.
“We want to hear from residents on how we can enhance civility in both public spaces and online discussions, as well as in daily interactions,” Karpas added.
Committee co-chair Steve Kroll encouraged local residents to participate.
“This is a great opportunity for the community to come together and shape policies that will contribute to a more respectful and engaged Livingston,” Kroll said.
The civility survey is part of the township’s regular cycle of community assessments, conducted every four years. Additional surveys this fall will focus on volunteerism, arts and culture, parks and recreation, and public safety.
