Livingston Begins Searching for New Superintendent
The Livingston Board of Education is searching for a permanent superintendent for the second time in three years.

The Livingston Board of Education formally initiated its search for a new superintendent after current interim superintendent, James O’Neill, advised the board he is unavailable to serve as interim for the 2015-2016 school year.
O’Neill advised the school board that he intends to retire at the conclusion of the 2014-2015 school year, Livingston Public Schools said in an announcement. The school board issued an advertisement for the soon-to-be-vacant position in The Star-Ledger. The board is “seeking a visionary, results-oriented, energetic, educational leader for its nationally recognized school system,” according to the advertisement.
Applications for superintendent of Livingston Public Schools will be accepted through Jan. 20, at which time the school board will begin reviewing resumes and setting up interviews, the announcement said.
