Livingston BOE Hires New School Superintendent

Christina Steffner has served as super of the Hunterdon Central Regional School District since 2011.

Livingston, NJ – The Livingston Public School District will have a new superintendent on July 1.

Earlier this month, the Livingston Board of Education appointed Christina Steffner as its new superintendent of schools.

According to a school news release, Steffner has served as Superintendent of Hunterdon Central Regional School District since 2011. She also served as principal of Hunterdon Central Regional High School.

Steffner was formally hired as Livingston's educational leader at a special voting meeting on March 2.

“I will make all decisions by working collaboratively with all stakeholders and by keeping our primary focus on what is in the best interest of our students,” Steffner said. “Recognizing the rapid changes occurring in our profession, it is my goal to support the Livingston community in balancing those demands with the needs of the children we teach.”
