Livingston Campout Rescheduled to September 8

The new date for the Town-Wide Campout and Movie Under the Stars has been announced after the event was rained out in August.

Livingston’s Town-Wide Campout and Movie Under the Stars have been rescheduled due to rain on the previously planned date. The new date is Saturday, September 8, 2018.

Both events will be held on Memorial Oval (Robert H. Harp Drive). Boy Scout Troops 12 & 16 and Cub Scout Packs 12 & 16 will lead the evening’s activities.

Tent setup on the Oval will begin at 4:30 p.m. Games including tug-of-war, a water balloon toss, slingshot, and silent speedball are planned for 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

At 7:30 p.m., the Scouts will light a campfire and put on a series of skits.

The outdoor showing of Disney-Pixar's Coco will start at dusk.

After the movie, families are invited to stay and camp out on the Oval.

Pre-registration is requested and can be completed through Community Pass.

Originally a part of Livingston’s annual Youth Appreciation Celebration, the event was rained out three times over the summer. Livingston Senior, Youth & Leisure Services (SYLS), the Healthy Community Healthy Youth (HCHY) committee, and the local Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts look forward to hosting this fun event for families.
