Livingston Christmas Tree Collection/Recycling Program
Livingston Department of Public Works Christmas Tree recycling program beginning in early January.

The Livingston Township Christmas tree collection/recycling program will begin Jan. 5, and will end Jan, 30. Christmas trees will be collected Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Christmas tree collection program saves the cost of garbage disposal since the Township is charged by weight to remove bulk items. In addition, the Township in conjunction with the Department of Public Works has added another environmentally friendly program. Employees of the Department of Public Works chip the trees into mulch which can be used around flower beds and garden borders. If enough mulch is created, we will make it available to residents for pick-up, at no cost.
Last year, the DPW collected and recycled over 1,173 Christmas trees. Beginning Jan. 5, 2015, simply leave your undecorated tree out at the curb. Our trucks will collect trees on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, visit www.livingstonnj.org.
