Livingston Cops To Hold Annual Junior Police Academy

Participants will get a firsthand glimpse into what it's like to work as a police officer in Livingston.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The following news release comes courtesy of the Livingston Police Department. Find out how to post announcements or events to your local Patch site.

The Livingston Police Department will be holding its fifth Junior Police Academy this summer. The objective is a week of education and fun through a police academy format. The curriculum will include various presentations from guest law enforcement agencies, field trips, hands-on activities and physical training to give the recruits an idea of what is involved in becoming a police officer. All applicants must be Livingston residents who are entering sixth, seventh or eighth grade in the fall of 2024. There will be a fee charged per attendee.

The academy will be held from July 8 through July 12 from 7:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Applications will be accepted beginning March 1, 2024 with a deadline of April 30. The class will be limited to 60 students, so register early.
