Livingston Council Spotlights Local Group That Empowers Young Women

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The Livingston Town Council heard a presentation from Girlstawk – a local group that publishes an online newsletter focused on empowering women – at their meeting last week (watch the video below, cued to their presentation).

The newsletter focuses on the struggles and successes of young women globally. It shares articles from contributors around the world in an attempt to “recognize the rise of girls and the shared experiences that bind them together.” Check it out here.

Girlstawk will host a health and empowerment conference on Saturday, April 27 from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Livingston Senior Center. Topics covered at the free event will include female empowerment, career guidance, health struggle and raising awareness. Contact executives@girlstawk.org for more information.
