In Livingston: Developer Wants To Build Assisted Living Facility On South Orange Avenue
The Livingston Planning Board will hold a special public meeting on March 15 to discuss Sunrise Development's application.

Livingston, NJ – A developer is asking the Livingston Planning Board for permission to construct a three-story, 105-unit assisted living facility on South Orange Avenue, according to a municipal classified ad.
The Livingston Planning Board will hear an application from Sunrise Development during a public special meeting on March 15, at 8 p.m., at the Livingston Municipal and Police Building, 357 South Livingston Ave.
In addition to the construction of the assisted living facility, Sunrise’s application includes site improvements including parking areas, driveways, retaining walls, a trash enclosure, stormwater management facilities, lighting, landscaping and signage at the property commonly known as 290 South Orange Avenue, or Lot 30 in Block 6300, on the township’s tax map.

The property consists of approximately 145,672 square feet (3.344 acres) in the township’s Residential R-1 Zoning District, where the project is a conditionally permitted use, the classified ad states.
According to a Livingston Planning Board agenda, the facility will include 14 affordable to low and moderate-income units.
