“All town roads were initially cleared, and Essex County came through to open up our county roads as quickly as they could. We’re basically down to the pavement, but some of our non-locally maintained roads are still rather narrow. Throughout Essex County, there are a great number roads the County must itself maintain. The Essex County DPW is working to try to clear and widen their roadways as quickly as they can.”

“Our DPW will be widening and clearing on county roads in order to make travel safer and easier,” Livingston town officials continued. “Please be patient as we take on these county roadways, which may mean temporary road blockages. Our DPW employees may again be working into the night as they move as quickly and safely as possible to widen these roads and intersections.”
