Livingston Finance Expert Makes Forbes’ List Of ‘Wealth Advisors’

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A Livingston finance expert recently got a high-profile thumbs-up from Forbes.

Livingston resident Paul Selvin, a wealth management advisor and managing director with Merrill Lynch, was recently recognized on the Forbes “Best-in-State Wealth Advisors" inaugural list.

Selvin leads the eponymously named Selvin Group, which is based out of Merrill Lynch’s New York City office. The team also includes his partner, financial advisor and assistant vice president Robert Furst, another Livingston native.

According to a Merrill Lynch news release:

“The Selvin Group focuses primarily on high-net-worth individuals and families, and delivers customized financial strategies to help clients pursue their goals. Drawing on combined industry experience of more than 65 years, the team leverages Merrill Lynch’s global resources to help meet the complex needs of managing multi-generational wealth.”

The Forbes list is developed by SHOOK Research and is based on in-person and telephone due diligence meetings that evaluate each advisor through qualitative criteria, including: client retention, industry experience, review of compliance records, firm nominations; and quantitative criteria, including: assets under management and revenue generated for their firms.
