7 Chetwynd Terrace - Small area of brush burning near curb. Entire area wet down.

301 South Livingston Avenue - Reported odor of smoke in building and fire alarm activation. Found occupancy on 2nd floor had burned popcorn. Property manager on scene and system was reset.

6 Bear Brook Lane - Contractor installing a water main in roadway pulled the gas service for the above residence. Standby operation per PSE&G supervisor.

Wednesday, Aug. 26

9 Winston Drive - Contractor digging in rear yard struck an old gas line for pool heater. PSE&G on scene.

68 Passaic Avenue - Fire alarm transmission, detector in room #113 activated system, system silenced and reset. Detector was replaced.

Thursday, Aug. 27

22 Old Short Hills Road - Report of burning odor in 1st floor hallway, found odor was coming from suite #102. No problem.

Friday, Aug. 28

16 Westmount Drive - Small mulch fire near roadway. Area was wet down.

Stonewall Drive - Report of smoke in the area. The area was checked and nothing found.

Saturday, Aug. 29

31 Irving Avenue - Paving contractor spilled driveway sealer in roadway and attempted to wash the product down storm sewer. Area was isolated and absorbents used. Product was properly cleaned up per Nutley Haz Mat instructions.

363 West Northfield Road - Fire alarm transmission due to cooking. Alarm was reset.

14 Colonial Way - Fire alarm transmission, malfunction with alarm system.

44 Baker Road - Fire alarm transmission, activation in error. No problem.

Monday, Aug. 31

23 Goodhart Drive - Construction worker fell approximately 10 to 12 feet into a residential foundation he was working on. Rescue company packaged and removed victim via boom and stokes basket. Victim was transported to Morristown Memorial Hospital by LFAS and medics.

Livingston High School - Fire alarm transmission. System activated by maintenance cleaning duct detector in auxillary gym.

31 Sandlewood Drive - Fire alarm transmission. System activated due to detector being cleaned. Homeowner arrived home and was advised.
